Jonathan grew up in Dowlish Wake near Ilminster and attended Ilminster Grammar School before joining with Mitchams in 1969. He qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1974, becoming a Fellow of the Institute in 1979 and a partner in the firm in 1980.
Jonathan is well known in the area both through his dedication and work with his clients and also through his family’s cider business. His wealth of experience, knowledge and his friendly and approachable manner have led to the establishment and maintenance of many long standing client relationships.
Jonathan specialises in all aspects of accounts and tax planning for a range of individuals and local and regional businesses. His client portfolio covers a diverse range of sectors including engineering, agriculture and retail, as well as advising individuals on their personal tax affairs. His involvement with his family’s business also provides him with a keen understanding and unique perspective of local, regional and national business issues, which he brings to the benefit of his clients here at Mitchams. He continues to build and shape the company through his current role as Consultant.
