Lorna grew up in the Midlands and mid Wales before her family moved to the Ilminster area when she was 13. She attended Wadham Community School where she completed her A-Levels prior to joining Mitchams in October 1995. In 2001, after 5 years of work and study, Lorna gained the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants qualification and subsequently became an FCCA in 2006. Lorna’s commitment to developing her skills and knowledge are further demonstrated through her achievement of Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW in January 2010, her Practising Certificate in March 2011 and most recently the successful completion of her Probate exams in August 2015.
Having joined Mitchams as a Trainee Accountant, Lorna progressed to the role of Accounts & Tax Manager in 2001. Her continued willingness to develop her understanding and knowledge led to her being nominated to be a Director in September 2010.
Lorna works with a wide range of clients, across all sectors, advising in various accountancy and taxation areas and overseeing the work of our Accounts & Tax Managers. Her friendly and approachable manner have led to well established relationships with her client portfolio. Consistent with all of the Directors at Mitchams, Lorna is always available for her clients and enjoys maintaining a close working relationship with the businesses and individuals with whom she works.
